This charity plays a crucial role in providing vital engineering expertise and technical training to those affected by disasters and conflicts around the world. The organisation was founded as the "Register of Engineers for Disaster Relief" (RedR). RedR UK is an international non-governmental organisation and is associated with the Institution of Civil Engineers (https://www.ice.org.uk/what-is-civil-engineering/infrastructure-projects/redr-uk-disaster-relief); with whom I am a Chartered Member (CENG, MICE).

RedR works at the intersection of engineering, climate change, and disaster risk reduction, working to strengthen the long-term resilience of the built environment. The organisation designs and delivers tailored learning programmes for engineers and aid professionals working in humanitarian engineering and development contexts.
