I'd really appreciate your support, to help my local Scout Group, and encourage me to run (at least!) 100 miles!

Scouts' purpose is to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

I'm a Trustee of my local Scout Group, 1st Send (St Mary's). We run a very busy Group, with around 100 young people enjoying weekly activities across Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, as well as fantastic opportunities like camping and other trips.

As a group we also contribute to our local village, organising important and much loved events including the May Fair, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day Parade and Santa Run.

We have a wonderful home next to the River Wey in Send. BUT our Scout Hut is dated, and needs renovations to improve safety, accessibility and utility. We would like to complete these works in the Summer 2026, but need £45k to do so. We have raised most of this money over recent years, but need a final £5-10k to commit to the work.

This Summer, I will be taking part in the Kent Backyard Ultra.

A backyard ultra involves running a 4.167mile lap, starting on the hour, every hour, until you can't continue. There is no finish line, it's a "last person standing" format. 24 laps equals 100 miles.

My goal is to break the 100 mile barrier.

I'd really appreciate your sponsorship, to help our Scout Group so we can continue engaging and supporting young people, and to encourage me to keep running/walking/crawling to 100 miles (and maybe beyond!)
