Story
Four friends will be willingly putting ourselves through a workout that will almost certainly make us question our life choices.
On 21 March we’re taking on the Battle Cancer Challenge in memory of friends and family we’ve lost to cancer, and to raise funds to support those still fighting. There will be sweat, sore muscles, and a strong possibility that at least one of us will dramatically regret agreeing to this halfway through.
If our suffering can do some good, we’re all in. Every donation means a lot and helps support the fight against cancer.
Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland with more than 9,000 people in Ireland dying each year. That's almost 25 people dying from cancer every day across Ireland. An average of 1 person every hour.
The Irish Cancer Society are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support.
