On July 26th Martin, who is a vocal Luton supporting curate at St Paul’s Church, is bravely joining the Love Your Enemy for Step campaign by wearing a Watford shirt for the day including while preaching at the 10.30 service. He regularly references his beloved Luton at church and a year ago in a service while the ministers were on sabbatical he even turned the church orange to represent the mighty Hatters. The congregation is therefore fully aware of how difficult this challenge will be for him.

Martin was born and bred in Luton and has been a season ticket holder for 26 years. One of his fondest memories is seeing Luton beat Watford 2-1 in a League Cup match.

Martin loves Step and the work they do in local schools so is willing to put Jesus’ words of ‘loving your enemy’ into practice to raise much needed funds for the charity.
