Story
This year, I originally planned to run solely for myself, treating this race as a personal journey. However, life can change in an instant. Just a couple of months ago, one of my dear friends, Iain, received heartbreaking news: his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Witnessing the impact this has had on such an incredible family has ignited a spark in me to take action.
I’ve decided to elevate my run from a personal endeavor to a heartfelt mission—fundraising in support of Iain, his father, and their entire family during this challenging time. Your contributions, no matter how small, will not only mean the world to them but will also motivate me throughout the race. Carrying the spirit of this cause with me will be a powerful reminder of why I’m participating.
**About the charity:**
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK. Our commitment goes beyond just raising awareness; we stand by everyone affected by this disease. Tragically, half of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will not survive beyond three months. Families are left clinging to hope, and they deserve so much more.
That’s why we work tirelessly to bring about real change—through groundbreaking research, impactful campaigning, and compassionate support via our expert nurses. We strive to amplify the voice of those affected by pancreatic cancer and to ensure that hope translates into action.
Please join me in this cause, and together, we can make a difference. Thank you for your generosity and support.
