Martin Downer was the best builder, husband and father and kept people laughing wherever he went.

He was taken from us too soon after his long fight with cancer. His strength of body and mind throughout this time was outstanding.

One thing that kept him going was his new found affiliation with the Portsmouth Bowel Cancer Appeal and his admiration for the work carried out by everyone involved with this charity.

A celebration service of Martin's life will be held on Monday 28th October at 12:30pm in St. Mary's Church Portchester. We ask that you wear blue where possible. In place of flowers please donate to the Portsmouth Bowel Cancer Appeal.
