Sarah Audrain, a basophobia babe (fear of falling) and I are going to tuck in our big girl pants and abseil down Gorey Castle together to raise money for Jersey Cheshire Home on the 28th April.

JCH is a charity, who provide specialist care to adults with debilitating physical disabilities, like my mother Irene, who survived a stroke 10 years ago and is now living with aphasia and partial paralysis.

The care and support that JCH provide to their residents and non-residents, is outstanding. Without them, my mum and many others would not be able to enjoy the quality of life they are enabled to lead now. JCH is the only residential facility on the island caring solely for adults with disabilities and therefore it is extremely important that they continue to provide the care and services that they do.
