Story
After 12 months of treatment since being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, I am officially in remission. Although myeloma is terminal, I want to make sure I keep kicking its ass and staying as fit and healthy as possible.
I wanted to do this walk not just to raise money, but to show myself—and my family—how far I’ve come since that first scary day of diagnosis. When I first got diagnosed, my husband climbed Snowdon for charity to show his support for me. That meant the world. So now that I’m in remission, I wanted to do something of my own to mark this moment.
It feels even more special because not only am i doing the walk with a few girls from my family but it's also my daughters birthday that day!
Her and my family have been such a massive part of this journey, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate with them.
I'm raising money for Marie Curie, because they do amazing work helping people through the hardest times. I’ve seen first-hand how important it is to have the right support around you when things get tough, and I want to give something back to help others going through similar things.
Thanks so much for reading—and for any support you can give. It really does mean everything. ❤️
