Story
I am taking part in 3,000 Push Ups in June for Teenage Cancer Trust. Those of you went to a grammar school will have worked out that that means an average of 100 push ups a day! I know, right? What was I thinking?!
I tell you now - won't be doing all 100 in one go. I'm a sixty-two year old man with a heart condition, for goodness sake! No, I shall be doing four sets of 25 per day. I currently do 25 a day anyway, so I should be okay repeating that a further three times - probably.
Why this charity? Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words you have cancer. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity in the UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need so no young person faces cancer alone.
If you would like to sponsor me for this somewhat foolhardy exercise, then please give whatever you can afford. And if you see me face down on the ground in a state of exhaustion, please call the emergency services. Thank you!
