Story
I regret to inform our very generous donors there will be no refunds.
I finished the Coventry Half Marathon!
The weather was miserable, it was around three degrees centigrade, and it poured with rain until the very end.
And the last 4-5 miles were tough-going.
But, despite all, it was great fun.
Most importantly of all, our generous donors contributed over £4,100, which, with gift aid, meant £5000 for the Harinder Veriah Trust.
That is a terrific contribution to our work in supporting girls from very underprivileged girls at the Assunta Primary and Secondary Schools in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Many, many thanks for your kindness and generosity.

On April 28, our chair, Martin Jacques, at the sprightly age of 78, will be returning to Coventry, his old hometown, to run the annual Half-Marathon for the first time. This seemed to the trustees like the perfect opportunity to raise money for the Harinder Veriah Trust.
The Harinder Veriah Trust, as you are probably know, supports the education of very poor girls at the Assunta Primary and Secondary Schools in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. We provide them with a daily free lunch, their school uniform, sports gear, and stationery. We support up to 100 girls a year.
Your money goes a long way.
£15 provides them with a good nourishing meal every day for a month, plus school uniform, shoes, socks, stationery, school bag
£60 provides them with the same for four months
£90 provides them with the same for six months
£180 provides them with the same for one year
Please give very generously for a great cause. Our aim was £2000. We’ve already surpassed that. So let’s make it £4000.
PS We have warned Martin that he has to finish. Even if it is on his knees. No finish, no money.
