Story
Every other year, I find myself returning to a cause that means so much to me, raising money for the Ayrshire Hospice. This will be my third time fundraising for them, and what began as a one-off effort has now become a kind of personal tradition.
Why the hospice? Because my love for Ayrshire runs deep, especially for Ayr, the place I proudly call home. To me, the Ayrshire Hospice epitomises the very spirit of Ayrshire: warm, resilient, and full of character. It’s more than a charity, it’s a reflection of everything I love about Ayrshire.
This year’s challenge is unlike anything I’ve ever attempted before:
I'll be swimming the full 22 mile length of Loch Lomond, a challenge expected to take between 16 and 20 hours in open water. It will be my toughest test yet both physically and mentally.
I believe that if I’m going to ask for your hard-earned money, then the challenge must be worthy of your support. That’s why I keep pushing further each time. Because the people cared for by the hospice deserve nothing less.
So here we go again :)
