Hi, my names Martyn and I'm running the 2025 Manchester Marathon in aid of Kidney Care UK

I'm running it in memory of my mum (Diane Jenkinson) who sadly passed in October 2023 from kidney disease, mum was the strongest person I knew, ongoing dyalisis 3 times per week in order to survive.

I saw first hand over a period of 25 years how kidney failure can limit a persons life in all aspects, physical, mental and emotional and so want to give something back to the people who care for kidney patients all around the world.

Running has been a solace to me, and really has helped me deal with the bereavement so my first Marathon seemed the perfect fit

Even if you have no money, by simply sharing this page will highlight the great work that the guys at Kidney Care UK provide, and will really help me out to towards my goal
