In Memory of Mary Flavelle

Mary Flavelle spent her life lifting people up. She believed that people – especially young people – deserve encouragement, opportunity and someone in their corner. She had an extraordinary gift for seeing potential in others long before they saw it in themselves. Whether she was encouraging a new business owner, welcoming someone into a networking community, or offering a quiet word of confidence, Mary changed lives simply by believing in people.

To honour her legacy, we are raising funds for Berkshire Youth, a charity that reflects Mary’s lifelong commitment to kindness, confidence building and community.

Why Berkshire Youth?

Many of the young people Berkshire Youth supports carry heavy burdens: anxiety, difficult home lives, caring responsibilities, low self-esteem. These are challenges Mary understood deeply. She knew that tough beginnings can limit life chances, and she believed passionately in giving people the chance to thrive.

For almost 85 years, Berkshire Youth has been there for young people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, or unable to access help elsewhere. They focus on prevention – supporting those who are not yet in crisis but already missing out.
