GNR for Tom Grant - Mary’s fundraiser

Great North Run 2025 · 7 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Next year me, my brother and 2 of my closest friends will be running the great north run for Marie curie in memory of my dad, Tom Grant.
In July 2023 our dad had a silent heart attack which caused a clot, which then caused other problems. He went through many operations and the team at the Freeman hospital Newcastle were absolutely amazing with him and tried every avenue that they could in the 9 months that he was in their care.
Sadly, we lost our dad on the 14th of March 2024. He had heart failure and intestinal failure. In the weeks leading up to this we managed to get him home, both him and us received amazing care and support from the Marie curie team. This is our way of not only honouring our dad but thanking this wonderful charity who did so much for us and others.
We appreciate all your support and every little helps x
On 7th September 2025, I'll be part of #TeamMarieCurie and taking to the streets of Newcastle and running 13.1 miles. All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
£3 helps fund a meal for a patient in one of our hospices.
