Story
In November 2018 we lost our perfect little natural miracle, as we discovered I was having an ectopic pregnancy.
After years of infertility treatments and IVF cycles, all of which failed to implant, I found out that I was pregnant naturally with Tiny Toes - only we couldn't see your little toes as you found a home so safe we never got to meet you and my heart aches everyday knowing your heart was beating with mine and there was nothing I could do to save you. As I recovered physically, we began another cycle of IVF to bring our little frozen one home which failed to implant. The following years came and our baby boy Alfie who was born a little too early to stay with us, along with subsequent miscarriages, for which there are no words. No words can describe the heartache, loss, grief and trauma Ben and I have been through over years and continue to live with everyday.
I became a volunteer for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust in January 2022 and continue to support this wonderful charity who have always been there for us. In February 2024 I became a part time member of the Operations Team and I will always dedicate my fundraising to Tiny Toes, who would have been 6 in June and I imagine getting up to some mischief with Ben!
We are both running the Great North Run this year and will be clocking up the miles in training taking on the EPT80in1 challenge as well, by completing 80 miles in the month of August, with my Mum and Dad, my brother Keith and his wife Mel, along with Ben's Dad John - their overwhelming support means the world to us.
If you have a moment to help us raise awareness for such an amazing charity so dear to our hearts and little Tiny Toes, that would mean so much.
