Mary runs the London Marathon!

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
As most of you know I expected to spend my 30th birthday weekend in a sunny vineyard not knowing my own name (let alone age) however I will be spending it running 26.2 miles for Pancreatic Cancer in memory of my hilarious Gramps, known to most as Harry Winchester.
Gramps was loud, mischievous and one of the funniest people I have ever known. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2020 and fought valiantly until November 2022. Losing him was as heart breaking as it was unnecessary. A man with so much life in him and so much love for everyone did not deserve to be taken early by pancreatic cancer - a disease no one can see and can take its victims so swiftly.
Any support (no matter how small) would be so gratefully received to fund vital research into detecting, treating and curing this cancer.
Most importantly, please do read through the most common signs of pancreatic cancer here: Signs and Symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer and make yourself and your loved ones aware.
Gramps, this one’s for you!
