We are raising funds to provide FREE eye surgery for people who cannot afford treatment. 10% of Pakistan’s population is blind or visually impaired, which means millions of people cannot work or provide for their families. Help us restore sight!

Story

My dear family and friends, it is time for our annual trek to raise funds for LRBT in Pakistan via its UK arm GLT. Insha'Allah we will do a 25Km trek, similar to the ones done in 2021, 2022,and 2023, and with your generous support we will reach our fundraising target!

90% of blindness is curable but people go blind and lose their ability to work and provide for themselves and their families because they cannot afford treatment. GLT is a vital safety net for the underprivileged, providing the highest quality medical care completely FREE.

We recognise that patients like Shabbir will never be able to save enough money for surgery from their modest income, which just about provides for staples. At 22, Shabbir’s sight was weakening but family responsibilities meant there was little money to spare for treatment and travel. With the opening of an LRBT hospital in his home city of Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab, Shabbir could get FREE surgery and is proudly supporting his family.

GLT remains the only hope for millions like Shabbir, providing free, high quality eye care to those in need. Your support can help bring light to them and give millions the gift of sight.

Shabbir is the 56th million patient we have treated.
