Garden House Hospice Care offers care and support to patients and their families. As a registered charity the hospice is dependent on donations so hospice care can be offered through in-patient admissions, day hospice, hospice at home, out-patients clinics and the family support team.

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting our page! Our names are Mason and Elliot, we are 11 years old and are climbing Mount Snowdon in aid of the Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth. We have never attempted a climb like this before, so will be training hard leading up to the big day (13th April 2024). Every donation, no matter how big or small, will be a huge help!

Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life-limiting illnesses, enabling them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support. It costs £6.5 million a year to run the Hospice, and they need to raise £9,700 every single day.

Mason's Granny, Elizabeth Hunt received the most wonderful care from the Garden House shortly before she passed away from cancer in 2019. Nothing was too much trouble for every person at the hospice, from the doctors and nurses to all the lovely volunteers. We always felt at home when we visited her. My Granny was one of my best friends and she would be so proud of me taking on this challenge.

We'll definitely find this a huge challenge but we plan on having lots of fun along the way!!
