Story
I am reaching out to share a very personal cause that I am running for in the upcoming Paris Marathon. This run isn't just another race; it's a mission close to my heart. My dad was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer back in August 2017 and it has to be monitored regularly. We are grateful it was found early, but it is not always the case.
Why Prostate Cancer UK? Prostate cancer is among the most common types of cancer affecting men, with millions diagnosed worldwide each year. Despite its prevalence, awareness and early detection are still lacking. Many men find themselves battling a disease they knew little about until diagnosis but this can change by awareness and understanding in young men around the disease.
This marathon is more than just a physical challenge; it's a way for me to bring attention to the importance of early detection and the need for more research. By running through the streets of Paris, I hope to raise funds and awareness, supporting efforts to find better treatments and, eventually, a cure.
Please join me in this fight - your support means the world to me and to all those affected by prostate cancer.
