Story
Christchurch Life Saving Club was founded 56 years ago in 1970, and for many years after provided the sole beach lifeguard service on Friars Cliff Beach in Dorset.
The club trains the next generation of pool and beach lifeguards and provides safety and fitness training to our members of all ages. We have numerous members with pool and beach qualifications.
I have been a member of the club since I was 7, now volunteering as water safety and a coach to support the next generation of clubbies. I qualified as a beach lifeguard in 2024 and have enjoyed being a beach lifeguard in Boscombe Bay and Christchurch Harbor for 2 seasons.
I represented my club in the Nationals at Holywell Bay this year, and took part in the Celtic Cup at Saunton Sands as part of the Wessex team. In order for us to develop our lifesaving skills and compete in future competitions our club are raising money to purchase surf skis. Your donations will help us reach our goal- thank you!
