Story
Hello I'm Mason!
Yes I am one of the crazy people that will be running the TCS London Marathon in 2027.
I am a Son, Husband and also a Daddy to 3 beautiful little children being 1 on earth and 2 twin boys looking down from the sky. My family are my main purpose in life and they are the reason I want to partake in this amazing event, I will always look to make them all proud and to show my boys that I will never stop trying to achieve things that seem out of reach.
So please read my story below and help me achieve my goal to help an unbelievable charity.
Northamptonshire Health Charity is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of every patient across Northamptonshire, enhancing the care provided at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire including their current Twinkling Stars Appeal.
Currently, families at Kettering General Hospital who experience the devastating loss of their baby., the only bereavement room is within the labour suite, surrounded by the sounds of new life, making an already heartbreaking experience even harder. The new bereavement suite will be located adjacent to the Delivery Suite but entirely separate, providing families with a private bereavement room with ensuite facilities and a cold cot for precious time with their baby, as well as a dedicated family room equipped with a kitchenette, sofa bed, and a peaceful, private space for families to gather and support each other.
This is close to our hearts after we used a bereavement suite in Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2022 when our son Lennie, sadly died 46 minutes after he was born. Lennie's twin Reggie kept us going with his cheeky smile and wild hair and brought sunshine into all our lives every day. His laughter, joy, and incredible spirit were a beacon of hope and love, helping us navigate the profound pain of losing Lennie. Sadly, Reggie tragically died unexpectedly at 11 and a half months old where a we visited the bereavement suite hearing sounds of new life, making an already heartbreaking experience even harder.
This is where the Northamptonshire Health Charity are amazing and help raise funds for our local hospitals to help families use their facilities in times that no one could ever imagine and to try and ease this by also creating rooms that are little more comforting and less clinical.
Thank you for taking the time to my story
Mason
