We aim to help bereaved children through treasuring existing memories alongside making new ones. We provide memory boxes and supporting materials to hospitals, hospices, funeral directors and more to help professionals better support children and families experiencing bereavement.

Story

Almost 3 years ago, I lost my partner Gemma and the mother to our 2 young children. As you can imagine it was a very difficult time for the family. There was a nurse who supported us in telling the children and we were given memory boxes from a small charity called Made a Mark. This is a charity that was set up by a family in 2018, that went through the same thing but had little to no support.

Recently Made a Mark put a post out at the beginning of July saying that due to lack of funds they are having to cut back, this will affect the areas of the country they can distribute these boxes too, which help families with young children deal with the loss of a parent.

I was thinking how I could help and knew that my wife Gemma had always wanted to do a parachute jump for charity and was often asking her best friend Karen to do one with her. I thought this would be a good way to raise some much needed funds for them and so was looking to book a jump. To be honest I was delaying booking one, as I’m not sure I could do it. Thanks to my mum and friend chatting about my birthday they decided to give me the shove I needed and book it for

me. No turning back now 😆. My brother Gavin has also booked to do the jump with me, so we would like to ask for any donation you can to help support this charity. A child should never loose a parent so young, yet it’s scary how many people have to go through this awful time. Thank you for looking at my page and for any donation made
