Mathew's fundraiser for Juvenile Arthritis Research

Mathew Hall is raising money for Juvenile Arthritis Research
As a patient- and parent-led charity, our vision is a world where no child has to suffer from arthritis. Our aims include research to find a cure for JIA, raising awareness that children and young people get arthritis and providing support to children and their families affected by JIA.

Story

JAR Project – Juvenile Arthritis Research

The Charity conducts Vital research and awareness to help children with this condition. It’s a small charity which relies on help from fundraising events.

Our daughter Florence was diagnosed with JIA at 15 months old. The cause of JIA is unknown and occurs suddenly. Florence is now 2 and a half and doing well through weekly medication and ongoing treatment.

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in a child’s joints. JIA can cause joint pain, swelling, stiffness and fatigue. In some cases, it can lead to vision issues. While there’s no cure, treatment can help manage symptoms and prevent or limit joint damage.

I will be running the Battersea Park Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March to raise money for the charity. Any donation is hugely appreciated.
