Story
I will be taking part in the 2026 Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge on 16th-17th May 2026.
This is a 100km continuous hike from Corfe to Bridport along the Jurassic coastline. The route is challenging with some huge hills and a nice 3km stint across a shingle beach around the 90km mark, which is like treading water (especially when you've been awake and hiking 20+ hours already!)

I completed the challenge in 2024 in 27 hours and 58 minutes with a teammate and swore I would never do it again. As time has passed, I've clearly forgotten how challenging it was and I've decided to go round 2, solo this time and aim for a sub-24 hour finish time.
The training is intense and will take up a full day every weekend between now and the big event. I will be out training in all conditions in preparation for the unpredictable weather on the day.
This is a great opportunity to raise funds for charity and this year I've decided to support The Hamwic Foundation, that does great work supporting some of our children and families most in need at Hamwic Education Trust.
The Foundation aims to do this by helping to meet the basic needs of some of our pupils that are underserved, to provide an opportunity for those pupils that demonstrate a skill or interest in a particular area, for example, music, sport or art and to advance the education of disadvantaged pupils within the Trust.
We also provide vital support to families most in need, by providing basic essentials such as mattresses, bedding and white goods and also run our annual "Christmas Eve box appeal" which in 2025, provided 513 pupils with a Christmas Eve box.
Any donation big or small is much appreciated and will go a long way in helping support the fantastic work the foundation does.
I will share updates on my training on this page and the link to a Geo-tracker closer to the event, that will allow you to track my live progress over the weekend if you fancy cheering me on from afar!
