Matt Austin is raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Society

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

This April, I’m running the London Marathon for my fiancée, Pamela.

Pam was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2022, and since then I’ve seen first-hand just how tough, unpredictable and life-changing it can be. But I’ve also seen how strong she is. She never complains, never gives up - and faces everything MS throws at her with more courage than I can put into words.

So, this one’s for her.

I’m running to raise money for the MS Society, who fund vital research and provide incredible support for people living with MS. Their work genuinely makes a difference - helping people like Pam live fuller lives today, while pushing for better treatments and, one day, a cure.

26.2 miles is going to hurt, but it’s nothing compared to what Pam and so many others deal with every day. Every mile I run will be for her - and for everyone affected by MS.

If you can spare anything at all, I’d be so grateful for your support. It’ll help the MS Society keep doing the amazing work they do, and it’ll mean the world to me and Pam.

Thanks,

Matt
