Story

We'll start this off with one thing I've always said, even after starting running last year and that is "I've got absolutely no interest in running a marathon" ... well that aged well 😅

Having watched my wife Megan take part in her own London Marathon in the past and my friends last year, you can't help but get pulled in. The atmosphere is absolutely electric, London is buzzing, everyone coming together to support each other, fully recommend it for a day out even if you aren't running!

Now all I needed was a cause, I knew if I ever did run a marathon I'd have to do it for a charity. Earlier this year my sister underwent corrective spinal surgery for her Scoliosis and I can honestly say it was one of the scariest days of my life, waiting for the phonecall to come through saying everything had gone ok 🙏 I still to this day remember the phonecall from my Mum probably 15 ish years ago as she said "I think Rhiannon's spine is curved", I recall instantly dismissing it, not wanting to believe that my baby sister might not be ok.

Fast forward to 2024 and Rhiannon is on the mend post surgery, making amazing progress every week that passes. The strength she's shown on the countdown to her operation and that she continues to show day by day is inspiring and I'll use every ounce of that energy to carry me round the course 💪

I hope the money I raise will help support further research for Scoliosis and help to create a safe network where people can interact comfortability and help eachother through whatever troubles they may face but also to share their positive experiences with eachother.

Having seen first hand the work that the surgeons can do, it truly is outstanding, I hope with the money I raise can make a little difference for someone out there.

Rhiannon, this one's for you 💪

LET'S GO! 🙌🏼
