London to Brighton Bike Ride 2025 · 15 June 2025 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Riding in loving memory of my father-in-law, Del. Unfortunately passing away last September after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons.

Del and his friends complete many cycling events over the years, however the London to Brighton was one of their favourites because it finished in their hometown, and mainly due to the many watering holes on the route down.

Del’s daughters, Dom, Charlee and I will be taking on (of course with some pub stops) the 56 mile British Heart Foundation event, on the 15th of June 2025 which coincidentally falls on Father’s day this year. Charlee, with a few small tweaks, will also be riding Del’s old bike for the event.

Cure Parkinson's are here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.Their funding and innovation has redefined the field of Parkinson’s research, enabling the world’s leading researchers to prioritise the next generation of drugs for clinical trial. Together we will conquer Parkinson’s.
