Matt Clarke is raising money for Simon Says

Tough Mudder South West 2025 · 16 August 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Simon Says aims is to support children & young people who have a significant person in their life who has died or is dying. Whilst we can’t take away the pain of bereavement, with appropriate support & information, we can help families understand what has happened & gradually gain future hope.

Story

This year our staff have voted to raise money for Simon Says, a local children's bereavement charity.

The work undertaken by Simon Says is incredible and invaluable, and it is our ultimate goal to raise as much as possible for them by undertaking the Tough Mudder 15K event on 16th August 2025.

Our mission is to get as much help into local Primary Schools to help bereaved children by way of first line Support Packs. The packs contain over 27 items with interactive and discussion forming prompts for support workers and care givers to use in critical times of need.

For every £200 raised a pack can be deployed to a Primary School, with your help we can get a pack into as many schools as possible. Simon Says provides reactive critical support for children alongside professional support within the education setting when needed. Support packs play a vital role in assisting educational staff to approach and assist with bereavement, early and with confidence.

Recent statistics show over 26,000 children a year loose a parent or vital family member at a young age.

Our goal is to raise £3,000.00, where we can provide 15 packs covering 3,750 children in early school years.

The critical role charities such as Simon Says plays within our communities rely on your generosity, and the time of others so your donation really matters to us and them.
