Story
My nephew, Zack, was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. What was initially a very worrying diagnosis has become a normal part of our lives and this is in large part due to the support provided by SBH Scotland. With their help, Zack has been able to thrive whilst pressure has been lifted from my sister.
In order to raise funds for SBH Scotland, I have decided to take part in the Ultra White Collar Boxing event in Inverness on 03/05/2025. This involves 8 weeks of training, after which I will be facing an opponent in the ring for 3 rounds of boxing, each lasting 2 minutes.
This will be like no challenge I have undertaken yet, and I hope you will give as generously as possible to help me achieve, or even exceed, my fundraising goal.
Each year Spina bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland need to raise over £1 million to provide dedicated support services for children, young people and adults affected by these lifelong, complex conditions. With little statutory funding they rely almost solely on donations from amazing people like you!
Although classed as rare conditions, 1 in every 1000 pregnancies are affected and in this country, SBH Scotland is the only charity with a remit to support every one affected.
SBH Scotland thank you for your support.
