Story
Together with my colleagues at Majestic Wine, I am supporting The Majestic Charitable Foundation and our three partner charities (The Brain Tumour Charity, Child Bereavement UK and Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Starting on 1st September, for 45 days, I'll be doing my part to collectively reach 45,000 miles, to celebrate Majestic Wine's 45th birthday! This fun challenge will boost well-being, fitness, team-spirit and inclusivity across the business.
We aim to fundraise £45k between us to support these incredibly important and worthwhile causes, and can only do this with support of our friends and family.
I myself am committing to a minimum of 45km (see what I did there?!) in races and general running/plodding/stumbling over the 6 week period including:
1. The Bacchus 10k @ Denbies, Dorking (7th Sep) - wine and running (my kinda race!)
2. The Seahorse 10K - Phoenix Running @ Walton (20th Sep) - you do as many laps of the course as you feel like. I'm aiming for 10K (distance not laps)...

3. The Greenham Common 10k @ Thatcham (5th Oct) - starts at iconic RAF Greenham Common base - a few friends doing this one, some of us 10K and some doing the Half Marathon

Plus I will aim to top up my kilometres with the following:
- https://www.parkrun.org.uk/bushy/ - my local (and the OG!) Park Run in Bushy Park, Teddington
- https://www.instagram.com/p/DKRy_PSMUBN/ one of my local pubs, The Grove, https://www.thegrovekt6.co.uk/ does a Thursday night Run Club - a leisurely 5km along the river in Surbiton/Kingston (followed by a cool pint of course)
Anyway, that's what I'm doing - any support much appreciated, folks!
Cheers
Matt
