GOOD GRIEF YORKSHIRE 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE

Matt Davies is raising money for THE GOOD GRIEF PROJECT
In memory of Tom Davies
We are a group of bereaved parents and siblings who've accepted the challenge to climb the 3 iconic Yorkshire peaks. Please support us by donating to THE GOOD GRIEF PROJECT our charity dedicated finding active and creative ways of expressing grief.

Story

The SKAstuds are playing a very special gig at Weavers, Park Lane, Kidderminster, from 4pm - 7pm on Saturday 5th July 2025.

This gig is in memory of Tom Davies, son of Matt, alto saxophone and keyboards player in the band, who died aged 26 in 2021.

Tom loved music and he loved that his dad Matt played in a ska band. Tom came to see The SKAstuds many times and even re-mixed one of the tracks on the bands’ 2015 CD.

Tom would have turned 30 this year and to celebrate this milestone, his mum and dad, Matt and Niki, will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on 19th July: a 25 mile hike with 3 ascents in the Yorkshire countryside.

They are raising money for The Good Grief Project, a charity which supports bereaved parents and siblings, an organisation which is close to their hearts having helped them enormously since they attended one of their weekend retreats in 2023.

The gig is free to attend but all donations before or on the day of the gig will be gratefully received.

With love from

The SKAstuds
