Over the last year I have been fighting to get an AED (Automated External Defibrilator) in the town centre. There seemed to be lot around in businesses but nothing accessible 24/7, once everywhere closed for the night that was it!

I won the fight and an AED is now in place on the little white building directly in front of the town hall. Although I hope it is never needed, it is there and ready to use.

It wouldn't have happened without the generosity of Southport Strollers Running Club, The Community Link Foundation and a big chunk of funding from Southport Saviours, a charity dedicated to providing AED's around Southport.

This fundraiser is to try and get some money back to Southport Saviours so they can continue their work and provide essential lifesaving equipment around the town.
