London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

Join Team Alzheimer's Society at the world-famous TCS London Marathon and provide help and hope for people affected by dementia.

Story

Having lost my Grandpa to Alzheimer's a number of years ago, I've since been searching for a fitting way to raise some money for the great work those at the Alzheimer's Society do.

My Grandpa went along to a number of weekly sessions run by the Alzheimer's Society where they took care of him but also supported my Grandma through a really tough time.

I always thought I needed to do something more than 'just' running a marathon. So here goes - attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Marathon dressed as a Traffic Cone!

I'll be running the London Marathon on the 21st April 2024, with a few training runs along the way including the Cambridge Half Marathon in full costume on the 3rd March.

From Alzheimer's Society:

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
