Story

In February 2023, my Mum sadly passed away peacefully at home after bravely fighting cancer for a number of years. During my Mum's final few months, the team of healthcare assistants from Herriot Hospice Homecare were absolutely incredible!

The team visited Mum 3 times a day, providing an excellent level of personalised care and were compassionate and supportive throughout, both to my Mum and my immediate family.

So, as a huge thank you to Herriot Hospice Homecare, I've decided to take on a challenge in order to raise funds for this amazing charity.

I will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in September 2023 alongside 6 friends (Cliff, Glynn, Lee, Lewis, Mark & Nick) who have kindly volunteered to complete this challenge alongside me.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is a gruelling 25-mile hike, ascending 1593m up the peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent with the aim of completing it all within 12 hours.

All funds raised will help Herriot Hospice Homecare continue to provide their excellent support to local families living with terminal illness and bereavement.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and please donate whatever you are able to for this fantastic cause.
