Matt's fundraiser for Zoe's Place Trust - Middlesbrough

Matt Hermon is raising money for Zoe's Place Trust - Middlesbrough

Zoe's Place Sahara Trek 2026 · 19 March 2026 to 24 March 2026 ·

Zoe's Place is a home from home for babies/infants who have life limiting and life threatening conditions. Zoe's Place offers palliative, specialist respite, and end of life care for infants from birth to five years old. We receive very little funding and therefore rely on donations/fundraising.

Story

I'm taking part in a 3 day trek across the Sahara Desert to raise money and awareness of the fantastic work that Zoe's Place Baby Hospice does every day.

At Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, we believe that every child deserves the chance to experience joy and love, no matter the challenges they face. Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is the only UK children’s hospice that specialises in supporting children who have life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses or profound disabilities with a wide range of diagnoses, we provide a nurturing environment where children can embrace their childhood through meaningful moments and experiences. Our nurse-led care is designed not just for the children, but for their entire families, ensuring that everyone feels supported and valued.

In March 2026, we will embark on an incredible journey together during the "Zoe's Place Sahara Trek 2026." This trek is not just an adventure; it is a vital opportunity to raise funds that will directly impact the lives of these remarkable children. My target is to raise £2,500 to continue providing essential therapies and activities that bring smiles and comfort to those who stay with Zoe's for respite care.

We invite you to join us in this mission. Your support can help create unforgettable memories for these children and their families. Together, let’s make a difference in their lives by contributing to this worthy cause. Every donation counts, and with your help, we can ensure that Zoe’s Place continues to be a beacon of hope and joy for those who need it most.
