In June, I'm taking part in the 10km Great North Swim, which is considered the equivalent to a marathon, and hoping to raise some money for Sunbeams Play in Great Yarmouth at the same time.

Sunbeams Play is a registered charity which provides a fun, safe and caring environment for children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder to thrive. They understand how difficult it can be to engage in mainstream activities due to a variety of social needs and anxieties.

My funny, sassy, wild niece Flossy has been diagnosed with Autism. Local charities like Sunbeams support children like Flossy to relax and play in an environment that is suitable for them, alongside or with others who have the same/similar needs.
