I stumbled across a rather ‘daft’ opportunity to fight in a cage for charity.

For everyone that knows me, you know I love daft ideas (even if it means a black eye, bust nose etc). These ideas I have are challenges but not normal ones. These are ones that I laugh about and they make people cringe - Long course triathlon, mountain running, signing up for the Royal Marines. That’s just a few….

Martial arts are definitely not my interest but I am sure I will get the hang of it (I don’t really have a choice 🙈).

When I saw the idea of fighting in a cage, it sounds horrendous. Probably just up my street really.

I am a realistic person and I know that this will simply be me getting my head kicked but it’s only for 3 x 2min rounds. It’ll be a laugh (I hope).

What better experience than being at Barnsley Metrodome in April 2025 with an awesome atmosphere, some amazing entrance music and doing it while raising money for Prostate Cancer Uk?

Why Prostate Cancer Uk? Our family has been hit hard with different cancer’s over the recent years. My best friend was taken from us, my father-in-law shortly after and my brother-in-law is now fighting prostate cancer. I am hoping to contribute to the hard work that the staff and volunteers put in every single day so that our loved ones can hopefully spend more time with us.

I will use this page to keep you updated of my journey from start (May 2024-4th April 2025).

I started my journey with Urban MMA and Thai Boxing. This has progressed to BJJ, Thai Boxing, K1 and MMA.
