Story
I'm running the Great South Run.
Yes, you read that correctly. I'm voluntarily running 16 kilometres. To put that in perspective, I've driven 16k before, and it felt like a long journey. The only difference is that my car has an engine and a comfortable seat, and I have… well, I have a grim determination and a deep-seated regret.
I'm doing this for a fantastic cause, the British Heart Foundation. Every pound you donate will be a little voice in my head telling me to keep going when all I want to do is sit down on the pavement and cry.
Your donation won't just be supporting a great charity; it'll also be sponsoring my poor life choices and ensuring I don't give up and hitchhike the last few miles. Please donate what you can—every little bit helps.
