Your donations are used by the South Western Ambulance Charity to work alongside the South Western Ambulance Service to help enhance care and support for staff and patients, in critical moments. Together we can support staff well-being, equip volunteers and improve cardiac arrest survival.

Story

The Forest of Dean has many lovely parishes, well supported and enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.

The NHS and local Ambulance services are under continual pressure, and we are also some time away from an Ambulance station. I have trained as a Community First Responder (CFR), and will support the local area when acute care is needed as a volunteer. This will be supported and overseen by the South West Ambulance Service.

This fundraiser is to provide a kit bag with defib, oxygen and other critical care equipment. The equipment will be used by both me, and also other CFRs in the close area. I am working with SWASFT to recruit and train more people in surrounding areas.

Please support where you can to assist in the provision of critical care equipment which could well mean the difference between life and death for people in our community.
