Story
Thanks to these fabulous people the last 2 weeks of Jacqui’s life whilst battling the terrible disease Pancreatic Cancer were largely pain free and spent in beautiful surroundings, meaning she was at peace at the end.
In order for the provision of this service to continue however, this & other hospices throughout the country need financial help otherwise beds will close & people will not get the care & support they deserve at end of life.
I have just returned from successfully Trekking to & then Climbing Mt Olympus in Greece in August, and will then be trekking to Everest Base Camp & the 3 High Passes in October 25 being in the mountains for Jacqui's Birthday.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support & to everyone who has donated so far or does do subsequently, I have smashed my goal & the total keeps on rising.
The specialist Hospice staff work together and often in partnership with the NHS to relieve patients’ symptoms, control their pain and help them to live well It is vital that everyone that needs it has the appropriate care and support they need to cope with the complex feelings and lifestyle changes caused by a terminal illness.
