At Subrosa UK we choose a charity to raise money for each year. During the first lockdown I had volunteered as a delivery driver for Bradford Central Foodbank. Having seen the impact the Foodbank had on people in need it was never far from my thoughts, so in 2023 I nominated Bradford Central Foodbank to be our charity and happily the team chose to support them. We ran a tuck shop, various sweepstakes and a Bake Off competition, as well as seasonal collections for things like Christmas presents and Easter Eggs. When it came to selecting our charity for 2024, I'm really pleased to say that we unanimously decided to continue supporting the Foodbank.

I only began taking running seriously a couple of years ago, and until very recently I didn't think any kind of distance running was for me. This year I wanted to step up my efforts to raise money for the Foodbank so after a bit of deliberation (and encouragement from Hayley, our Accounts Manager) I decided to enter the Ilkley Half Marathon.

Not only will it be the longest and furthest I have ever run, I am also aiming to run sub-2 hours, and raise £1,000 for the Foodbank. Hopefully I can achieve all of these things! Thanks for your support.
