Matt's fundraiser for The Chaseley Trust

Eastbourne Half Marathon 2025 · 23 February 2025 ·
Welcome!
I shall running a half marathon in Eastbourne on Sunday 23rd February. The last long distance run I completed was the London Marathon in 2008, 16 years of ageing means this one is even more of a challenge and all donations to support my cause however small will be ever so gratefully received and put to extremely good use.
The Chaseley Trust is an independent nursing home in Eastbourne that specialises in long-term nursing and care for individuals with complex disabilities, including brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, and degenerative neurological conditions. Their 50 residents range in age from 24 to 81. They include a jockey whose career was cut short after being kicked in the head by a horse, a football fan who fell backwards down the arena steps during a family outing; a talented musician now battling advanced stages of MS; and a young entrepreneur whose life was forever changed by a head-on car collision. These stories represent the diverse individuals supported at Chaseley.
As it is a charity-owned care home, funds raised will support the home and it's residents through the winter months, ensuring there is enough energy for the heating system and provide additional equipment for the residents.
