On the 13th July 2025, I will be once again entering the UWCB boxing ring in aid of Cancer Research UK at the Casino Rooms, Rochester.

People who know me, will know why this charity is so very close to my heart; only last month we lost my Step Dad, Ian Rose to Cholangiocarcenoma, an aggressive form of Liver and Bile Duct Cancer. Despite having the best treatment possible at UCLH, Ian unfortunately contracted sepsis and passed away with my Mum at his side on 22nd April 2025. In addition to this I’ve also seen my Dad fight stomach cancer and my Grandma continue her battle against Metastatic Breast Cancer so this charity will always be a focal point for me and my family.

After a good performance last time, and another 8 weeks of training I am hoping to improve on a few things and most importantly, raise more money for a charity which is very close to my heart.

Charities such as Cancer Research UK would not be able to continue their vital efforts to provide new treatments for such a devastating disease if it wasn’t for fundraising events like this.
