When I was asked in January what my New Year's resolution was I replied without thinking "I’m going to run the Ipswich half marathon".

So the challenge was set!

I have decided to support Genesis Orwell Mencap. A charity that I have become familiar with through Do Good Networking. I’ve been to their main site three times and witnessed first-hand the incredible work they do in the community. The staff are all so passionate about what they do, and it's clear that they really care about their service users.

Genesis Orwell Mencap provides a range of high quality day care services in Ipswich, supporting adults and young people with learning or physical disabilities. They also operate social enterprises, including the manufacture of their Genesis Garden Furniture and the Green Bike Project.
