Story
This year we're celebrating the 30th year of the "Legendary" North Devon Grand Tour - a three day event over the August bank holiday when a group of like-minded "nutcases" all get into their Minis and drive around North Devon to raise money for the Children's Hospice South West.
Children's Hospice South West provides hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
Please help me reach my fundraising target to provide care and support to babies, children, young people and their families across the South West.
Over the course of the weekend we'll go on three driving routes, passing different villages and towns:
• a short run on Saturday night from Northam Burrows to Abbotsham;
• a much longer run from Westward Ho! on Sunday, everyone wearing silly hats;
• and the main event on Bank Holiday Monday from Bideford, when we'll all be in fancy dress, including our cars.
The fancy dress theme that we've decided on for 2026, after a couple of years with some automotive drama, is "Removals - Fragile - Handle with Care".
