Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise vital funds for Leicester Hospitals Charity — a cause deeply personal to me. In 2010, my Mum was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome linked to lymphoma cancer, and the incredible care she received from Leicester’s hospitals left a lasting impact on our family. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise made an overwhelming time more bearable.
More recently, the hospitals have once again become a lifeline — this time for my Dad, who is currently living with stage four terminal cancer. The support, dignity, and kindness shown to him have meant the world to us. By supporting my marathon journey, you’ll be helping Leicester’s hospitals continue their life-changing work for countless families like mine. Every donation makes a difference — thank you.
Donating to Leicester Hospitals Charity enables them to enhance the services, care and environment in the three hospitals in Leicester- Leicester General Hospital, Glenfield Hospital and the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Your donation really can make a significant difference to how people feel, how well they respond to treatments and how quickly they recover. The smallest gift really can help so please, support our fantastic fundraisers and help them raise as much money as possible for their selected area in the hospital or the area of greatest need.
