💛 Our National Three Peaks Challenge for Dougie Mac Hospice 💛

Matthew Dale is raising money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice

National 3 Peak Challenge · 27 May 2026

Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

Hi everyone,

In May, me and my son will be climbing the National Three Peaks: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon… all in just three days. The highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.

This isn’t just a challenge for me - it’s something incredibly special I’m doing alongside my son Hugo who’s only 8 years old. At such a young age he’s already showing determination, resilience, and a willingness to push himself far beyond his comfort zone. As a Dad, I couldn’t be prouder.

We're doing this to raise money for Dougie Mac Hospice, an amazing charity that supports local families through some of the hardest times imaginable. They provide care, comfort, and dignity to people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as vital support for their loved ones.

Like many others, we know how important charities like this are — and we want to do our bit to give something back.

This is going to be a huge challenge, especially for Hugo, but he's determined to give it everything he's got. There will definitely be some tough moments along the way, but we're both excited to take it on together and make a difference while we do it.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference and help Dougie Mac continue their incredible work.

If you can support us, we'd be hugely grateful. And if not, even sharing this page means the world to us.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us on this journey.
