Story
Our son, Callan, was born at 34 weeks and needed a 16 day stay in NICU as he struggled breathing and couldn't figure out this drinking thing. We had a huge amount of support during that time and we want to try and give something back. We've set ourselves a target each year to try and raise some money towards charities that help support either premature babies or their parents.
We're heading up to Hadrian's wall and we hope to walk it in 6 days, aiming to carry Cal in his rucksack where we can. It's a distance of 137.5km, so averaging 22k a day. We'll be starting this on 23rd May 2026, walking west to east.
We've chose Bliss (this next bit is there blurb)
1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist care.
Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 90,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.
Your donation to my page will help Bliss to drive improvements in neonatal care, to ensure that the needs of babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future, and to provide information and support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
