Story
Im running the London Marathon to raise money for EGFR+, a lung cancer charity that’s incredibly close to my heart. They’ve been supporting my mum through her diagnosis, and the work they do for people affected by EGFR-positive lung cancer is something I’ll always be grateful for. Sadly, cancer has impacted my family in more ways than one both of my grandparents passed away from cancer, one of them from lung cancer. This marathon is my way of giving something back, raising awareness, and helping fund the vital support and research this brilliant charity provides.
Thanks Matt 😁
EGFR Positive UK is a patient-led charity that supports people diagnosed with EGFR-positive lung cancer a form of lung cancer that often affects never-smokers. Through advocacy, peer support, awareness campaigns and collaboration with research and policy bodies, they’re working to change outcomes and offer hope.
Starting this year, the charity is proud to be taking part in the 2026 London Marathon with two nominated runners and I’m honoured to be one of them.
Every step I run is for them and for everyone affected by this disease.
Thank you for supporting me and this cause.
