Story
On 29 June 2025, I will begin cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats, covering nearly 1,000 miles in 18 days, to raise money for Future Talent - a charity that helps young musicians from low-income backgrounds develop their skills and realise their potential.
In April I attended Future Talent’s 20th Anniversary Concert, hosted by Alexander Armstrong. It was an inspiring evening with powerful performances and original compositions by the young musicians the charity supports. The talent on stage made a lasting impression on me and showed how much can be achieved when the right support is in place.
My connection to the charity is personal too. My younger daughter, Tash, works for Future Talent and helped organise the concert. I’ve seen the commitment that goes into their work, and I’m proud to contribute by taking on this challenge.
Since taking up cycling as a hobby in 2018, I’ve averaged around 1,300 miles per year. This ride will be my longest by far, so it won't be a walk in the park. More of an uphill struggle.
Every donation and message of support will keep me going, knowing it’s helping young people build a future in music.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can give.
